After a gorgeous weekend, we are weeding and setting up our garden of Eden. New this year we are planting in an area called the Eden project. www.backtoedenfilm.com Simply put, it is an area where we have put a large layer of wood chips on top of a layer of compost, a permaculture approach. This improves the water retention in the soil, removes excessive wedding and ideally make the garden better for helpful microbe & bug life. So what we all want for the garden fewer weeds, more bugs (the good kind), and no watering. We look forward to trailing it this year and you're welcome to see for yourself how it goes.
This week we have started picking beets! Our cherries have ripened and this is our first year we will have them available for sale. Get'um while you can! Green garlic is getting pulled, that means it is not cured and must be used withing a couple weeks but is amazing fresh in dressings and for cooking.

Summer Growing Camp at Moondance Organic Gardens
Dates: August Monday 14th- Friday 18th 9am-4pm
and August Monday 21st- Friday 25th 9am- 4pm
Each day will be filled with fun activities, crafts, lots of learning (about chickens and turkeys), gaining an appreciation of nature and the world around them, how their actions can affect the environment and hopefully much more!
Lessons will run from 9-4 with the possibility of dropping off before and picking up later. Lunch and snacks will be included.
