Farm Blog - March Melody

Hello from the gardens, What a difference a week makes. The snow has been slowly transforming to puddles and walking becomes a mindful experience in navigating the ice.
That time change caught me off guard but I'm enjoying the later day light and oh those amazing morning sunrises! What I really notice is the beautiful bird song. As much as I grumble at the Starlings that have their perennial nesting spot in the barn, they do have a loveliest chirps and songs first thing in the morning.

With spring on our doorstep, here's a few things that are germinating!

Seed racks are here, Aimer's Organic Veg & Herb seeds, OSC Flower seeds.

Our first workshop of the spring is upon us!

The gardens constantly teach me, remind me and humble me. The thought "patience is a virtue" came to me as I water and tend to the greenhouse. Feeling like the greens should be growing faster, the spinach should be up and how to keep the bunnies out of the greenhouse..... I breathe deep and remember Patience.
