Farm Blog - It's Winter Alright...

Happy February, Wishing you and yours a very Happy Valentines and Family Day. Hope you haven't had to shovel too much snow. For me the snow has it's benefits. Tom may have a different opinion with all the snow clearing!

I think the gardens are enjoying the nice insulating blanket of snow and will appreciate the melting drink.
- It's always a good thing for the garlic to have a good covering of snow to stop the bulbs heaving out of the soil when there's freeze and thaw. Whew.
- The kale we left in the garden may be providing some sweet treats early spring
- Big piles of snow for the kids to play on!

(Still) The winter and cold has kept the greenhouse in hibernation, but the days are getting longer and the soil will start to awaken as we move towards March (I Hope). So no greens yet but we are excited to image how crisp and sweet the greens will be.
Potatoes are back on the order form, sadly apples are done for the season.

Sadly the last week for napa and beets.

Please use this order form for Saturday February 15th pickup.

May you find the calm within the storm. Time to Be outside. Time with Friends. And?
