Hello from the gardens, Happy May. I hope this finds you well after the full day of weather yesterday. Now to see what May holds!
The warmth has pushed the arugula to bolt, but I do love those tasty flowers and crunchy stems. So we will still have some leaf available this week but are also planting new seeds for a next crop.
Succession seeding is where you keep planting new crops of the same variety, usually 3 weeks apart for arugula. This is a great practice for quick growing crops that you love to eat. Try this with radish (until it gets into the heat of summer), spinach, leaf and head lettuce, peas, carrots, beets, beans and more.
What's happening at the farm:
Our Spring Garden Center will be open as of next Thursday May 8th

There's honey, miners lettuce, arugula, salad greens (sweet or spicy), wild leek leaves, fresh herbs, potted seedlings and farm fresh eggs.
We will continue offering the weekly order form option as the way to what's available from the greenhouse, and of course the hens. Thank You for supporting small scale growing and community.
