Farm Blog - Happy Harvesting Season

Hello from the Gardens: With so much good food this time of year it's tricky trying to enjoy it all.

New at market:

diakon radish
baby leeks
watermelons
tomatillos
ground cherries
baskets of field tomatoes
1/2 bushel of roma tomatoes
apples
blue plums

Sadly the greens are having a tough time with the heat and lack of moisture but we are ready to replant spinach, arugula, and salad greens. We do have some lovely chard in the cooler and stir fry mix. Even the Kale has had a rough couple of weeks with being feasted on by flea beetles.

So many cucumbers, lots of zucchini, carrots and the ending of one batch of beans. Check out the link below for a great way to enjoy all those cucumbers and zucchini.

Last Yoga night at the farm tonight! It's so peaceful and relaxing, I 'm sad that the nights are getting shorter and cooler. A huge Thankyou to Angie for adding to the health and peace of the farm.

Tomorrow is the Angus Farmers' Market, 4-8pm between the library and arena. Drop by and say Hi.

Well happy back to school, a settling of the season and much joy to be found in our beautiful approaching fall.

All the best,
Kim & Crew
