Hello , Happy October, it's a month of transition and change as the maple trees start to prepare for winter giving us the most beautiful sight. The summer crops ripen and set seeds and those cool season crops get even sweeter.
This week we're starting to harvest winter squash while summer squash (zucchini) are slowing down and finishing up. We're finally getting the slicing tomatoes ripening from the greenhouse and have to say I've never seen them this large and tasty.

This Saturday's Community Market (again, details below). Good time to stock up before Thanksgiving and the cooler days ahead. This is a chance for those who want to shop in person and pick out what you would like.
We have organically grown apples, pears and sometimes grapes from a local orchard. This week we have Macintosh, Cortland and Golden Delicious apples and Bartlet and Flemish Beauty pears. Yum!
Please bring back baskets, containers, egg cartons, even bags!
