Hello from the gardens, with all this heat the plants are really starting to take off as well as the weeds! They are considered weeds as they grow super fast and can multiply easily. That being said so many of them are super nutritious and some even brought here as a food crop with early settlers. Lambsquarters is a great example. Except is growing so fast and it's harder to find tender so it's going to be off the market list as of next week
What I am hoping to do is offer "Foraging Fridays" as a way to share the abundance of nutritious greens, berries & roots that grow naturally on the farm. Love to hear if this would be of interest and looking forward to getting more details out.
What's happening at the farm:
Wed. July 16th, 6:30-8pm
Imagine experiencing a Guided Painting class on a summer evening.
After a short walk in the woods!

Reminder
We are not planning to open the Market Stand this season for a number of reasons. Our plan is to transition to a more interactive approach where we will not only offer online ordering but also facilitated U-Pick opportunities starting in July. Stay tuned!
We will continue offering the weekly order form option as the way to what's available from the greenhouse, outdoors and of course the hens. Thank You for supporting small scale growing and community.
Quote: "Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time." — John Lubbock
Wishing you calm days, with hope and love in your heart.
All the best,
