Farm Blog - August abundance, fruit and garlic thyme

Hello from the gardens, It may seem odd with the heat and dry but it's time to start thinking about preparing for fall planting. It's a great time to plant the more cool loving crops like salad greens, leaf lettuce, spinach, arugula, mustard greens. As well as peas, radish and I even have another crop of kohlrabi to get in the ground. With the current heat thinking to wait closer to the end of August with fingers crossed that there will be more moisture and cooler temperatures.

We will be starting transplants and looking forward to having them for sale towards the end of the month.

We've harvested, cured and cleaned up lots of beautiful garlic. We grow Music garlic which has large, flavour full cloves with just a little bite.
Lot's available on the order form...... for now.

Wow the Zucchini have exploded with the heat, (bigger then ever, which makes for some amazing stuffed zucchini) there's so many different sizes (and varieties) we'll let you choose which one(s) you want to take home. There's a number of options on this weeks order form so check it out. See the RECIPE below!

Fruit is abundant, New this week, Silver Gem Nectarines (flavour full white fleshed), a sweet peach called Harrow Diamond, fresh Apricots, Early Yellow Plums and the last of the sweet Cherries (so they tell me!)(really)

If you are interested in larger quantities, please reach out to me, mogfarm@gmail.com.
There will be clingstone peaches coming which are the best for canning, drying or preserves.
