Happy September, well almost October!
We were so thrilled and delighted to have a beautiful fall day last week for our September community market
Thank You to all who came out to enjoy the farm and awesome vendors.
This Saturday whether you are picking up an order or not you are welcome to drop in 10am - 1pm for a choice of some pumpkins and fall Mums.
You can also pick your own flowers, lots of sunflowers, glads, zinnia, strawflowers and more. Make your own bouquet of 10 stems for $6
It's taken me a while to get the order form updated with all the additional produce that we have available this week.
From the gardens we have winter squash, Sweet Potato squash and Spaghetti squash as well as the first of the beets which are a combination of red cylindra and golden beets. We'll have the tops with them as they are super nutritious and yummy as well. We also have Seed Garlic now available. I suggest planting between Thanksgiving and Nov. 1st.
From our friends at Wider Sky farm we have the first of their delicious Organic potatoes. Choice of Yukon, Red, White and Huckleberry (purple skinned).
From Palentines orchard we have Italian Blue Prune plums. So delicious and obviously great for making prunes or jam.
From local Organic orchard we have amazing Macintosh, Asian Pear and Honey Crisp apples as well as Anjou and Bartlet pears.
This is the time of garden abundance and a great time to eat what you can, freeze, can or dry what you can.
The greens are producing well and I've changed some of the pricing and options. Now all greens options are $4.50 or choose any 3 for $12.
What a delicious time of year.
A sweet treat is that there's a fresh harvest of honey. Now available 330g jar - $10, 500g jar - 13 and 1kg jar - $25
