Happy August, So sorry for my delay in getting this out. Not sure if anyone else has been finding the last week or more full of challenges and change but that seems to be the theme right now. Looking forward to calmer, energy filled days ahead.
This is the time of garden abundance and a great time to eat what you can, freeze, can or dry what you can.
Beans and cucumbers are in abundance this week.
There's the tasty Roma flat green beans and now a lovely round yellow bush bean ready.
Each size $1 off if you've ever picked bush beans you understand the gift here
Then there's cucumbers, with so many different types. The pickling cucumbers, field cucumbers, white martini cucumbers, english cucumbers and middle eastern (like a half size english).
Half price for every type except pickling
What a delicious time of year.
A sweet treat is that there's a fresh harvest of honey. Now available 330g jar - $10, 500g jar - 13 and 1kg jar - $25
The delicious fruit has returned this year from Palentines orchard who choose to grow as naturally as possible.
- use beneficial insects
- focus on soil health
- no or low spray
- pick as close to ripe as possible
- do not use a bleach bath
Bottom line they grow really delicious fruit!

So much available on the order form, check it out below.
We have lots of Eggs so there's a SALE this week, $1 off each dozen.
Unlike ducks, Chickens lay more eggs in the summer when the days are long and the eating good.
In the winter they lay less (which makes sense) and in the spring (they are regrouping and getting stronger with the fresh food). So the hens are super happy with all the weeds (superfood nutrition) that they get each day from all the kids and families that come here for Rewilding.
Have i mentioned that Lambsquarters is also called Fat Hen, it is 24% protein by weight and so full of nutrition. Lambsquarters is an abundant "weed" most of the season!
Duck eggs are off the order form for a couple of weeks. Ducks lay a lot of eggs in the spring, some eggs during the summer and fall and rarely during the winter. This is a very natural cycle when you imagine these birds before humans became involved. So we'll have more duck eggs available every 3 weeks to make it easier for people to plan.
